Amy Simon

Styles: All levels of Clarinet and Saxophone, Beginner Flute, Oboe and Bassoon.
Amy Simon (MMus) is a native of Prince Edward Island. She has been playing the clarinet for 15 years and recently completed her Masters in clarinet performance at the University of Victoria, where she studied with Patricia Kostek and Keith MacLeod, of the Victoria Symphony.
Amy has performed in masterclasses for such renowned artists as Larry Combs, principal clarinet of the Chicago Symphony, Eric Mandat, specialist in extended techniques on clarinet, Kymball Sykes, principal clarinet of the NAC Orchestra, and Peter Veale, specialist in extended techniques on oboe.
She performs repertoire from the classical to contemporary periods, with a special interest in extended techniques for woodwinds.
Amy has taught privately for several years in Charlottetown and Victoria, and has been a band camp clinician in Charlottetown. She enjoys teaching all levels of clarinet and saxophone, as well as beginner flute, oboe and bassoon.
